Strikeforce pulls plug on prelim fight
There was one fight that never happened at last nights Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers event. Lightweights Deray Davis (5-1-1) was set to face Mark Miller (9-5) on the night preliminary card. The fight was suppose to be the third fight of the night but was skipped and they never got back to it. The fight was believed to be skip due to time concerns but there was a good 20 to 30 minutes between the last preliminary fight and the televised card. That’s Plenty of time to have let this fight happen but instead it was scrapped. I feel really bad for these guys as they trained several weeks for this fight, made weight just to be brushed under the rug by their promotion. It’s uncertain if they were compensated for their troubles and/or if the fight will be moved to their December event in San Jose. I don’t recall ever seeing this before and I hope I never will see it again, it’s very unfortunate.
