Today on his way to the dog park with some of his teammates, light heavyweight prospect and UFC 126 fighter, Jon Jones got into a car accident. His teammates and he walked away without a scratch but that could not be said for his ride (pictured). Sad thing is the insurance for the car hadn’t kicked in yet so Jones is now in major need of the fight bonus.
Jones will be facing Ryan Bader at UFC 126 on February 5th in Las Vegas as the night co-main event.
Sometime things just aren’t meant to be and for Javier Torres winning the 13th season of the Ultimate Fighter just wasn’t in the cards. Javier’s not hanging his head though, taking a page from his coach who tells them that everyone losses and you learn from them
The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that former WEC featherweight champ Mike Brown will take on TUF 12 semifinalist Nam Phan at UFC 133 in August.
You had to figure the episode with start off with Len Bentley and his displeasure for not being picked as a wildcard. Following the picks Bentley pulls Dana White aside and asks for Ryan McGillivray in the finale. White looks a bit perplexed and asks him why didn’t he show this passion earlier?
You know, this #UFCSummit has been the talk of the MMA town of late. It’s a big get together of all the UFC big wigs and fighters and they cover issues facing the sport’s growth and the fighter’s futures. It made me wonder what a MMA Media Summit might look like. We’re going to use the actual UFC Summit topics (or not) and see how they’d apply to the media.
With Quinton "Rampage" Jackson now part of the main event for this months UFC 130, the charismatic fighter is seeing more face time. The UFC has posted the first installment of "The Rampage Diaries" as they follow around the former light heavyweight champion around leading up to the fight on May 28th.
