Titan Fighting Championships 16 Results
Live from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas and airing live on HDNet was Titan Fighting Championship 16. A card that included many former UFC fighters, including Drew McFedries, Rich Clementi and the former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia.
The night was filled with early finishes and big named fighters getting upset.
Things started out with two very quick bouts as Alonzo Martinez ending his fight by rear naked choke and Anthony Gutierrez finished his by TKO. After the lone judge’s decision, McFedries took to the cage and displayed his boxing skills with a TKO victory late in the fight.
The night gets it first upset of the night as MMA Veteran Clementi dominated for most of the fight but between showboating he got himself caught in a rookie mistake and got put to sleep via triangle choke. Thankfully the highlight of the night was next as Jason High looked very impressive and more than ready for the big show as he quickly submitted his opponent with a guillotine.
Finally we reached the main event and the 311 pound, former heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia. Not much can be said here except it’s time for Sylvia to either hang them up or get his weigh in order ASAP. The fight only lasted 32 seconds and Sylvia once again found himself on the losing end, this time by the hands of TUF 10 fighter Abe Wagner.
Where Sylvia goes from here is anyone guess but the look on his face following the defeat was one of a despair and confusion.
