Frank Trigg confirmed at BAMMA 6 Will Face John Phillips

After being rumored to be part of next month’s BAMMA 6 card, Frank Trigg’s involvement on the card was made official yesterday and his opponent was also named. “Twinkle Toes” will be facing the very heavy-handed John “The White Mike Tyson” Phillips.

Trigg (20-8) got back in the win column last November by defeating Roy Neeman at Israel FC: Genesis, after losing two in a row to Josh Koscheck and Matt Serra in the UFC. The MMA veteran has fought at both welterweight and middleweight throughout his career and will be taking this bout in the 185 lbs. middleweight division.

Phillips (13-3) most recently defeating James Zikic via first-round TKO at BAMMA 4 last September and has won his five fights, all by way of first round knockout. Phillips has 13 career knockouts and only gone to a decision once in his 16 fights, losing a unanimous decision to Tom Watson.

Tom Watson will also be on the card facing Murilo ”Ninja” Rua for the BAMMA middleweight title on the same card.
