David Branch vs. Jeremy May at Shark Fights 15
In what is likely to be a top contender for promotional MMA outside of the UFC, Shark fights has come together one more time to give the fans some exciting Mixed Martial Arts with well-known fighters.
Shark Fights 15 will take place live from the Santa Ana Star Center, Rio Rancho New Mexico on May 27th and air on HDNet. Middleweights Joey Villasenor and Chris Camozzi will participate in the nights Main Event while the recently released from the UFC, David Branch faces the well-known Jeremy May.
Branch (8-2) will be looking to rebound from a disappointing submission loss to one of the best up in coming middleweights in Rousimar Palhares, who is also a black belt in Jiu Jitsu. Branch comes from a professional boxing family and after watching his display of the “rope a dope” at UFC 116 he striking is underrated, especially when most focus on his submission skills.
May (9-7) is coming into the fight on a two win streak, one over a TUF vet in Frank Lester. His only lose in his last five fights was against Murilo “Ninja” Rua, which was very one-sided in May’s favor until he was caught in a well executed guillotine.
This is a promising fight for both fighters if their main goal is the UFC who is under loaded at Middleweight and could use their comeback/ noticeable talent. This and the previously announced main event will prove to be great technical battles in which all MMA fans should give a chance.
