If there is one thing you can’t deny when it comes to Joe Lauzon’s fighting style it’s almost always exciting. J-Lau will look to rebound from a disappointing submission loss to George Sotiropoulos back at UFC 123 when he takes on Wolfslair Academy’s Curt Warburton. The fight will be apart of the Preliminary fights shown on Facebook.

The Boston native will be making his tenth appearance in the Octagon, winning only one fight in his last 3. Despite the losses, Lauzon is 6-3 in his UFC Career and has won 4 bonuses for his fight, two submission of the night and two fight of the nights.

Lauzon made his UFC debut at UFC 63, upsetting Jens Pulver, before making his way onto The Ultimate Fighter Season 5. Lauzon would eventually be eliminated by finalist Manny Gamburyan, but impressed UFC heads that he was given a UFC contract. Since then, Lauzon has impressed fans with his ground work and his improved striking skills.

Despite Joe’s laid back personality and addiction to video games, mostly the Call of Duty series, when it comes to fighting, Joe always attempts to finish a fight, always attempting submissions, or dominating his opponents like he did in his win against former TUF house mate Gabe Reudiger.

Standing in his way will be Wolfslair’s Warburton. While Joe might not have the strength advantage on his opponent, what Lauzon does bring to the table his vast experience against some of the sport’s top lightweights, and a better overall skill set, working hard at his gym everyday to try to improve his all around game.

Despite the setbacks for Joe, this is a fight where his experience, wrestling and his speed should give him an advantage, an advantage that Joe Lauzon is usually good at exploiting.
