With no UFC this weekend, tonight’s XFC will take center stage in Knoxville, Tennessee and on HDNet. XFC 16: High Stakes will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between veterans Drew Fickett and Jamie Varner. Each fight comes in with a lot to prove and event on the line.

Main Card:

185 lbs.: Dustin West defeated Stoney Hale by 1st rd. TKO

• Just over a minute into the fight West hurt Hale with a liver kick and poured it on big time until West had enough and went to the canvas where the referee stopped the fight.

185 lbs.: Amaechi Oselukwue defeated Julio Gallegos by 1st rd KO

• Gallegos came out strong but never saw the right hand coming from Oselukwue that knocked him out cold.

SHW: Chase Gormley defeated Brandon Sayles by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

• Wasn’t the best fight ever but Cormley got the fight down in rounds one and three, winning those rounds. Sayles came forward, avoided the takedown and let his hands go to win round two.

130 lbs.: Chris Wright defeated Len Cook by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

• Wright just out wrestled, our worked and rolled to a one-sided decision

125 lbs.: Marianna Kheyfets defeated Heather Clark by 1st rd. TKO (Doctor Stoppage)

• Even though she likely won the first round, Clark stood up after the bell and her right eye had swollen up and the referee stoppage the fight between rounds.

185 lbs.: Josh Samman defeated Mikey Gomez by 1st rd. submission (Strikes)

• Samman got the fight to the ground by dragging his opponent down by the neck and would stay there the rest of the round. Samman took the back of Gomez and dropped bombs until he had enough and tapped out.

Main Event:

155 lbs.: Jamie Varner defeated Drew Fickett by 1st rd. submission (Strikes)

• The lead in video was longer then the fight itself as Varner dropped Fickett with the right hand. He turned it up and Fickett couldn’t recover forced him to tap.
