Bellator 62 Highlights and Lightweight Tournament Bracket
Despite losing the heavyweight tournament final bout between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos, Bellator 62 shined with a main card featuring all four quarterfinal lightweight tournament bouts. With the main event scratched, Bellator 62 was headlined by a barn burner of a fight between lightweight tournament returnees Lloyd Woodard and Patricky Freire that ended a night filled with great highlights.
Eight fighters stepped into the Bellator cage for a chance at facing Michael Chandler and his lightweight championship should they win three consecutive tournament bouts. After two decisions, one knockout and one submission, four fighters advanced to the lightweight tournament semi-finals set to take place on April 20th at Bellator 66. After the fights Bellator announced the pairing for the lightweight semi-final round during the post fight press conference. Below you’ll see the semi-final match-up along with the complete lightweight tournament bracket.
