Bellator 64 Results
The sixth season for Bellator has been very exciting through the first four events, featuring some of the year’s best fights and most brutal knockouts. Tonight’s Bellator 64 main card on MTV2 was an off night for the promotion with all four fights going the distance.
Back in Canada at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada the card was anchored by the welterweight champion Ben Askren defended his belt against the season 5 tournament winner, Douglas Lima. The champ once again made his opponent look bad as he pressed and grinded his way to a lopsided unanimous decision victory.
The remainder of the main card was filled with tournament bouts in both the featherweight and bantamweight divisions. Part of the bantamweight quarterfinals took place to start off the main card before Marlon Sandro and Popo Bezerra co-headlined the card in a featherweight semifinal tournament bout.
Every card can’t be the best card of the year and fans have been spoiled recently with the fights Bellator has been giving to them. Take the good with the bad and it will all even out over the long haul.
