Rob Sinclair to defend his title against Andre Winner at BAMMA 10
BAMMA (British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) returns to the Wembley Arena in London, UK on September 15th, 2012 for BAMMA 10. It will have been nearly 16 months since BAMMA 6 was at Wembley and the promotion will bring a World Lightweight Championship bout as the night’s main event in their return.
BAMMA’s World Lightweight Champion Rob Sinclair will make his third title defense as he takes on former UFC fighter Andre Winner. Sinclair defeated Nathan Beer for the belt at BAMMA 2 and hold title defenses over Daniel Weichel at BAMMA 3 and Diego Vital at BAMMA 7.
Sinclair said: “This is going to be the biggest fight of my life and I will be ready. There’s no messing around now, this is serious stuff. I will be the underdog no doubt, but that’s what I thrive on. This is will be the hardest hitting, strongest, most explosive Rob ‘C4′ Sinclair you will ever see and that’s a promise!”
At BAMMA 10 Winner will be making his third appearance in the BAMMA cage after fighting five times in the UFC. A finalist in the ninth edition of The Ultimate Fighter, Winner lost to Fellow UK teammate Ross Pearson in the season finals. In BAMMA the Leucester Mixed Martial Artist has defeated Jason Ball at BAMMA 7 and Diego Gonzalez at BAMMA 8.
Andre Winner says: “I’ve been looking forward to this fight for a long time and I know a lot of people want to know who’d win out of me and Rob: Well, on September 15th they’re gonna find out. I’m gonna be coming with skills he’s not faced before, so unless he can deal with them I’ll be walking away with the belt. I’m in great shape and hungry to fight again so people should expect fireworks!”
Tickets for BAMMA 10 will go on sale tomorrow and can be purchased right here.
