Dana White to drop “Big UFC 151 News” today
Those of you that weren’t up late enough last night to witness the beginning of the UFC 151 rumor mill fire storm woke up today wondering what the hell the MMA community was all a buzz about. Was Dan Henderson hurt and out of his light heavyweight title fight with Jon Jones or was social media creating something that just wasn’t there.
Former UFC fighter and current commentator Kenny Florian laid the perfect foundation with his cryptic tweet saying “hearing that we may have some disappointed @UFC fans soon due to some unfortunate circumstances for an upcoming card.”
Then the rumblings of Dan Henderson being injured began, which quickly turned into the MMA veteran possibly have elevated levels of TRT. Things would die down only slightly following a tweet from Henderson about a good session of training but talk of Chael Sonnen stepping in to face Jones jumped into the rumor pile.
After nearly 12 hours or swirling rumors and smoke and mirrors the UFC finally spoke.
This morning the UFC sent out a press release stating that UFC President Dana White would be on a conference call at 11am PT / 2pm ET to make an announcement regarding UFC 151. What he will say is still a rumor but in less than an hour all rumors should be squashed and for good or for bad the MMA world will officially know the “news” regarding next Saturdays UFC 151.
