MMA Reality Series Warrior Island Holding 1st UK Casting Call this weekend
A new MMA reality series produced by James Jefferson and directed by Hollywood veteran Ben Perry called “Warrior Island” is looking to make waves by putting 16 elite fighters on an island in the Pacific Ocean. The reality series, which begins filming on location Feb. 1 of 2013, is being produced by Global Proving Ground who have partnered with former Cage Rage Presenter and current UCMMA Promoter Dave O’Donnell. Each week, the fighters will battle one another to stay on the island and compete for international stardom, as well as a half a million dollar grand prize.
The first official “Warrior Island” casting call to be held outside of the United States will take place this Saturday, Sept. 8 at the prestigious Troxy Theater in London, England during UCMMA’s “White Collar MMA 6.” Potential contestants will enter the cage between the prelim and main card intermission to tryout and showcase their skills in front of a sold out crowd in hopes of being selected.
“UCMMA has always been dedicated to delivering the best and brightest British talent to fight fans around the globe,” O’Donnell said. “Now our platform will allow us to give a few lucky guys the opportunity of a lifetime. I am extremely proud to host the first UK casting call for Warrior Island.”
Auditions are open to martial artists of all weight classes, forms and disciplines, not just MMA fighters. Anyone in the London area this weekend interested in being considered should email Dave O’Donnell at [email protected] with a short bio, your martial arts background, weight class and contact info.
