Conflicting Reports Regarding Jeremy Stephens

Is Jeremy Stephens Fighting at UFC on FX 5 or is the fight with Yves Edwards off? This is the question everyone is wondering and depending on who you talk to the reports differ. Jeremy Stephens is scheduled to fight in the final UFC on FX 5 preliminary bout today and according to UFC President Dana White, the fight is still on.

MMAValor.com has been in contact with the Minneapolis, Minnesota Sheriff’s department and here is what we know.

Jeremy Stepehns was taken into custody today after the Violent Criminal Apprehension team learned of his location. Stephens went into police custody without any issue and is being held in a Hennepin county jail on a Felony warrant out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Jeremy Stephens is being held without bail and with no court date scheduled, this according to Hennepin County. All attempts to get further info from the Polk County Sheriff’s office in Des Moines, Iowa have been unsuccessful.

Despite the above info Dana White continues to say that Jeremy Stephens is fighting.

[Update] Despite the efforts of Dana White and the UFC, Stephens did not make it to the Target Center for his fight at UFC on FX 5. White said that they had a deal in place to bail out Jeremy Stephens multiple times but the people in Iowa kept changing things and a deal never happened.
