UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2 Results & Bonuses
The UFC closed out the 2012 year with tonight’s UFC 155 and while the card had its highs and lows, the final two bouts ended things in style. Live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and televised across Facebook, FX and PPV tonight’s UFC 155 saw former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez avenge his loss to Junior Dos Santos to reclaim the UFC heavyweight championship.
The 12 bout UFC 155 fight card started out with three solid fights on Facebook highlighted by the successful return to the Octagon from once heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee. The three Facebook preliminary bouts would provide half of the night’s finishes and two of the three “fight night bonuses”. The FX portion of the preliminary card saw some strange score from the judges resulting in two split decisions.
As the UFC 155 main card moved over to PPV, three promising middleweight bouts turned out to be not all that it was cracked up to be. Thankfully though the co-main event and main event saved the day as Jim Miller and Joe Lauzon put of a possible fight of the year candidate and Cain Velasquez dominated now former champion Dos Santos.
