UFC Fight Night 32: What Should These Fighters do Next?

Like every other fight card, last night’s UFC Fight Night 32 ended with numerous questions. Who will be next inside the cage for the winners / losers is always the popular questions that fans ask.

Everyone has their opinions on the matter but let’s take this question from a slightly different angle, asking ourselves “What should [insert fighters name here] do next?

Rony Jason should stop punching walls!

• Following his knockout loss to Jeremy Stephens, Rony Jason should his frustration by trying to knockout the wall backstage. This would prove to be a stupid idea and the wall would hand Jason his second defeat on the night as the Brazilian was taken to the hospital due to cuts suffered from punched through the wall.

Jeremy Stephens should stay at featherweight!

• After losing three in a row at lightweight Stephens dropped down to featherweight and has rejuvenated his career. At UFC Fight Night 32 Stephens blasted Rony Jason with a right leg kick to the head that quickly ended the fight, stunned the crowd and improved his featherweight record to 2-0 in the UFC.

Ryan LaFlare should get a little more respect!

• After his unanimous decision win in his UFC debut the undefeated Ryan LaFlare didn’t get proclaimed the next big thing or even a top prospect. I’ll be honest I didn’t pick him to win his UFC Fight Night 32 bout against Santiago Ponzinibbio but I can admit I was in the wrong. After another dominate decision win LaFlare deserves to be taken seriously inside the Octagon.

Brandon Thatch should face a top 10 opponent next!

• What Brandon Thatch has done inside the Octagon has been impressive but welterweight has been doing that his entire career. All 11 of his wins have come within the first round (8 KO’s & 3 Sub’s) and what he did to Paulo Thiago last night warrants another step up in competition.

Rafael Cavalcante should change camps!

• The Team Nogueira fighter looked great against Igor Pokrajac last night but he’s had an up and down career in Strikeforce and the UFC. Whether its motivation, being complacent or whatever, Cavalcante has entered several fights out of shape which have often times resulted in a loss. At UFC Fight Night 32 he looked in great shape and the results were in his favor.

Dan Henderson should retire!

• The MMA legend had lost two in row via split decisions coming into his bout with Vitor Belfort. He left having dropped his third in a row having been knocked out for the very first time in his career. At 43 years old and riding a disappointing three fight losing streak it’s just time for Hendo to hang them up.

Vitor Belfort should fight in Las Vegas!

• Yes, both fighters in last night’s UFC Fight Night 32 main event were granted a testosterone exception but Vitor Belfort hasn’t fought in the states since 2011. During that time Belfort has gone 3-1 and has looked like a completely different fighters not only in skill but size as well. His last three bouts have ended in brutal head kicks and were all in Brazil. That only defeat was against light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in a fight that Belfort nearly upset the champion.
