Would two more rounds have made a Difference at UFC on Fuel TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger

The main event for the UFC on Fuel TV 1 event was awesome, and one that left MMA fans wanting more. Jake Ellenberger showed signs of absolute brilliance in the first two rounds of his fight against Diego Sanchez on Wednesday night, but it wasn’t until the last half of the 3rd round that the contest got very interesting. Diego Sanchez showed the heart of a lion, and came back to dominate the last round of a fight that lesser competitors would have given up, had they been put in as precarious of positions that Sanchez was put in during the first two rounds, or to accept the damage sustained by Ellenberger’s razor sharp strikes, and still choose to move forward attempting victory.

Another weekend, another event! This time the UFC will debut a full card on Fuel TV, and while the fight quality isn’t as high as some events, it’s still free. Below we have some fights that I think we can turn a buck on, complete with comparison betting odds, valid props and my general confidence in the fight itself. You’ll notice several fights missing from the list, which is no error. With fights between newcomers, anything can happen, and I’d recommend avoiding wagers on the fights I haven’t listed.

It didn’t take long after the judge’s scorecards were read for Saturday night’s UFC 143 main event for the new interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit to be asked what’s next. With Georges St. Pierre out of action tell probably the latter half of the year, Condit must now decide to defend the interim title or wait for GSP to recover. Should he choose to defend the belt there are a few options out there as well.
