Just 24 hours after a successful title defense from Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, the promotion has made some changes to Tim Kennedy’s upcoming fight. Kennedy, who was defeated by Souza for the Middleweight title, was originally scheduled to face Jason Miller, but the bout has since been scrapped and Luke Rockhold will now face Kennedy in March.
The rubber match will have to wait. The rumored, almost finalized bout between Tim Kennedy (12-3) and Jason “Mayhem” Miller will not be held on March 5th at Strikeforce’s next event in Columbus.

Following his 50-second knockout of Matt Landland at Strikeforce: St. Louis, Robbie Lawler (20-6) is expected face Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza (13-2) for the middleweight title at Strikeforce’s January 29 event in San Jose. Souza defeating Tim Kennedy back in August to capture the vacant middleweight title via unanimous decision.
The ever popular MMA reality TV show, MTV’s Bully Beatdown, is back on the air for its third season, with its host and middleweight MMA fighter Jason Mayhem Miller (24-7-1), well-known referee “Big” John McCarthy and a cast of exciting new fighters. This season is promising better and more exciting fights with longer rounds, smaller headgear, and tougher bullies, plus a female bully and fighter for the first time on the show.
Last night kicked off Dreams 16th installment, a jam packed MMA card out of Japan that had some of the MMA elitist clogging up the late night twitter feeds. The event is showcased very differently from the big dogs like UFC, WEC, and Strike Force but is a visual masterpiece.
