In addition, the company has signed on to become a main advertising sponsor of the first-ever full-length, full-color MMA comic book, “Joe Palooka.”

The fallout from the Saturday’s epic UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson event was released today by the California State Athletic Commission. Out of the 24 fighters on the card, 13 of them received medical suspensions with the obvious combatants receiving extended suspensions.

The UFC 139 weigh-ins could easily go down as one of the most interesting pre-fight weigh ins ever between the scale troubles, outrageous outfits and personalities. With fighters walking out dressed in a suit (Danny Castillo) and as Steven Seagal (Tom Lawlor) the fans were treated to more than fighters stripping down to their skivvies and stepping on a scale.

The former home of Strikeforce, the UFC is making their first trip to San Jose. With MMA legends and former champions all over the card, UFC 139 is one of the deepest fight cards of the year.

Two of the tougher Welterweights in the UFC, Johny Hendricks and Mike Pierce are scheduled to meet at UFC 133. Johny Hendricks lost his first career fight to Rick Story back at the Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale, but rebounded with a victory over TJ Waldburger at UFC Fight Night Seattle.
