It’s no doubt that Fedor Emelianenko at 31-4 was one of the best heavyweight fighters ever to grace combat sports. Now that he has turned out three depressing loses in a row, many fans have turned their backs on him and demanded him to hang them up. The inaugural Bellator Summer Series comes to a conclusion this Saturday from the familiar confines of the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The three event series featured a featherweight tournament that is set to conclude, along with a handful of special attraction bouts. No UFC Events, No Worries there’s Shark Fight 17

While there may be two full weekends without a Zuffa promoted event, there is still quality MMA to be found outside the top organization.  One of those events will be Shark Fights 17 on Friday, July 15.  The main event features a rematch between a couple of UFC middleweight veterans in Matt Horwich vs. Jake Rosholt.  The co-main event showcases another UFC veteran, as former UFC Heavyweight Champion Ricco Rodriguez takes on Karl Knothe.
