The month of June was a mixed bag for the MMA Rankings, while it had many fights throughout the month; the bulk of the top-tier talent wasn’t in action. Just six fighters from the June MMA Rankings stepped into the cage over the last 30 days and with a 3-3 record amongst them, they didn’t fair to well.
To say UFC 137 has seen one of the oddest lead ups to fight night would be an understatement. With press conference no shows, main event changes, injuries galore and a sumo fat suit at weight in, the fighters have a lot to live up to if they want to top that.

The WEC 53 weigh-ins has been completed and the fighters are rehydrating and waiting to fight tomorrow (December 16) at the jobing.com arena in Glendale, AZ. If you haven’t already heard the WEC is merging with the UFC on January 1st 2011 and WEC 53 is the final event for the promotion.
Thursday December 16, World Extreme Cagefighting will be hosting their final event due to the recent merger with the UFC. The upcoming WEC 53 card will help end the year and the promotion with a bang as both the Bantamweight and Lightweight titles are both on the line.
The World Extreme Cagefighting today finally made official, the Lightweight title fight between Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis for WEC 53 in Arizona. While the announcement came as no surprise, the WEC did have one thing up their sleeve. Also headlining the card will a bantamweight title fight featuring champion Dominick Cruz defeating his title for the second time against Scott Jorgensen.
Each and every WEC event fans are graced with a solid card from top to bottom and WEC 50 was no different.
Tonight we get a mid week MMA special on Versus network with WEC 50: Cruz vs. Benavidez II. Behind the bantamweight title fight is a very solid main card, along with a good undercard.
