The luck has finally run out for “The Baddest man on the planet,” Joe Warren at Bellator 51. The current featherweight champion entered the bantamweight tournament in hopes to become a multiple Bellator title holder. Those dreams went dark just one minute into fight as his opponent Alexis Vila turned his lights out with a left hand.

Bellator Fighting Championship Season 5 Preview
The highly anticipated fifth season from the Bellator Fighting Championship gets underway on September 10th with Bellator 49. The newest season will feature four tournaments taking place in the Bantamweight, Welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight divisions. The quarterfinal rounds for all four tournaments will take place over between Bellator 49 and Bellator 52; here is a preview of season five.

At last night’s Bellator 41 Patricio “Pitbull” Freire moved into the finals by improving his record against Wilson Reis to 2-0 with his third round KO. In their first bout at Bellator 18 Freire won a unanimous decision but last night he one upped himself with a devastating flurry of punches that finished the fight.

Saturday Night, Bellator again took it to the cage on MTV2 and delivered a great night of action. The fighters on the main card did their best to keep decisions away from the judges, and in the main event, we found out why. Joe Warren was out-struck and out-wrestled for most of the 15 minutes spent in the cage with Marcos Galvao and was given a gift of a decision from the judges at ringside. It was the lone lowlight of a tremendous event.
Bellator 41 Eight Fight Card and Predictions
Bellator Fighting Championship makes its second trip of season four to the west coast for Saturdays Bellator 41 from the Cocopah Resort and Casino in Yuma, Arizona. The last time they came this far west was for the season first event, Bellator 35 back on March 5th.
The main card of Bellator 41 features four bouts showcasing the little guys in the featherweight and bantamweight divisions. The featherweight tournament will continue with the two semifinal bouts taking place with a spot in the final on the line. The winner of the season four tournament will earn a shot at the Bellator featherweight champion, Joe Warren.

Bellator 37 hit MTV2 early this weekend to try to avoid competing against tonight’s UFC 128 prelims that air on MTV’s sister channel Spike TV. Bellator 37 featured the start of the featherweight tournament along with four un-aired local bouts.
