Jeremy Stephens is scheduled to fight in the final UFC on FX 5 preliminary bout today and according to UFC President Dana White, the fight is still on.
Get settled in for an exciting MMA filled Friday night that begins with the UFC on FX 5 from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The free card begins with one fight on Facebook before the rest of the preliminary and entire main card are televised. The UFC on FX 5 main event features undefeated heavyweight Travis Browne taking on the man known as “big foot”, Antonio Silva.
Everyone loves Fridays because it’s the end of the work week but add a solid free UFC on FX 5 fight card to the mix and its darn near perfect. This will be the third weekend in a row with a UFC card and after last week’s Fuel TV card, its back to back free cards. The big MMA news right now is the possible rematch between the newly crowned interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit and the man he just defeated, Nick Diaz. The drama from their first fight and the pending announcement of their immediate rematch (or not!) has overshadowed several other MMA related news stories.
The lighter weights can scrap and the bantamweights and featherweights brought it tonight at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada. Two new Ultimate Fighter champions were crowned and 15 of the 16 fighters that made it into the house fought on the card. Headlining the card were the coaches fighting on the finale for only the second time in the series history.
